I hope that doesn't seem racist, but it's a way to describe the way he's being. I think he's just being English, frankly. especially using that shoulder brace rig he got used somewhere. He even shows how using the viewfinder attachment works fine for him. He can put them on, like normal, and use he camera. Sure, some photographers want it or need it, but it's just not something most people NEED to shoot with. Sigma knows that hundreds of millions of people use their smartphones to shoot pictures quite handily though, so obviously a viewfinder is not a necessity.

Plenty of people here have asked for a viewfinder, and they've been doing the same thing for the DP series and dp series cameras forever. I feel like asking him, "Which is it? Do you want it to be small, or do you want it to have everything you want in a camera? You don't get to have both." He says he likes the camera to be so small, but then he wants a viewfinder. He is asking a Ferrari to be a pick-up truck. I watched the whole video Jan, and after reading your comment I still feel the same. Not much else was to take from this video.

maybe a clear distinction between the boosted ISO range selection in the Menu. phase detect autofocus on par with Sony an external viewfinder in a small form factor (which he stated could be possible but he is not sure if anyone develops this ) maybe electronical image stabilization in RAW and not only. some kind of real log profile (without additional sharpening) This here was about what would be needed for the camera to have a future. The future fp2 is also not in question here, that is something for the future. Yamaki the sales of the Sigma fp overseas in Europe and the American continent are not as big as they hoped they would be and to get some sort of feedback of a well known Youtube reviewer might be more of an eye opener for them than some guy in a forum. If you remember the latest interview with Mr.

The footage that he provided also proved the point that he is quite fond of this little beast and he wishes it would be just a tad bit better to be more successful. The missing features can be a deal breaker for some and I honestly believe that faults/issues of this kind should be adressed. His notes about the camera are valuable especially for those thinking of getting it (me included) and to be honest there was little to no negativity from his side. If you took your time to have a look at what he had to say you would´ve seen that this was not a quick shot and that he has had the camera since November 2019.

Whilst I do appreciate your take on this, please be professional here. I may be wrong though, and for a retail price of $300 or more, it probably makes sense for Sigma to make a great little add-on viewfinder, with which they can probably make about $100 profit per unit. It already has a screen, which can be used as an excellent viewfinder, if you want that. It might have lots of features people are asking for, but I doubt it will have a viewfinder. I'm sure the fp2 will have the ability to record raw internally to an SD Express card, shoot at 4Kp60 in 12 bit 4:2:2 CDNG raw, and possibly even shoot 8Kp30 video. until something better comes on the market for less money.

It doesn't need ANYTHING else to do just fine though. Would it be better if it included a fold-out viewfinder, six memory card slots, and if it could do back flips, while recording 8Kp120 in 14 bit lossless compressed super duper multiplex osmodigran raw? Sure! It's doing JUST FINE without what he's saying it needs. The fact is the camera is a camera with a future. If it just had xxxxxx it would have a future. I hate it when people say stuff like that.
